‘Le Génie’, 2012.

My lifesize reproduction in clay of the original 19th century sculpture by Auguste Dumont. I took all measurements and references from the artist’s plaster in his museum in Semur-en-Auxois, France. Lost wax cast in Bronze and gilded. Commissioned to replace the missing sculpture from the top of the tower at Cliveden House. It is the only authorised lifesize copy besides the bronze copy in the Louvre, Paris. The actual monumental sculpture sits atop the July Monument at the Bastille, Paris.
